Ragin' Cajuns, Red Wolves face off in league opener for third time in past four years
JONESBORO, Ark. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Basketball team opens its 29th Sun Belt Conference slate when it travels to face Arkansas State on Wednesday at First National Bank Arena.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game can be heard in the Lafayette area on KHXT 107.9 FM, ESPN 1420 AM and the ESPN 1420 app. The game will also be available on ESPN+ with live results available at CajunStats.com.

Closing out a stretch where it played seven of the past nine games on the road, Louisiana (5-5) opens league play against Arkansas State (7-3) for the third time in the past four seasons. The schools split the season series last year with each team winning on the road.

Louisiana has won the last two meetings against the Red Wolves in Jonesboro, including a 90-87 overtime victory to close out the 2018-19 regular season.

A-State has won five of six games at home this season. The Red Wolves picked up wins at Colorado State and Tulsa, and will return to the court since a 75-53 setback at Missouri State on Dec. 11.

Louisiana leads the all-time series, 53-26, and is 21-17 overall in Jonesboro. After facing A-State, Louisiana will return home for its next four games, beginning on Saturday (Dec. 21) against Little Rock in a 7 p.m. contest at the Cajundome.
