Louisiana To Face Troy In First Round Of SBC Championships

All matches available on ESPN+; tournament winner receives automatic bid to NCAA Championships
NEW ORLEANS – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Soccer team will face No. 2-seeded Troy in the first round of the 2019 Sun Belt Conference Championship as the official bracket was released by the league office on Tuesday.

The match between Louisiana (8-7-3), the No. 7 seed, and Troy (12-2-4) will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 1 p.m., at the Foley Sports Complex in Foley, Ala. The winner of the first round match will advance to face the winner of No. 3-seeded Arkansas State and sixth-seeded Texas State in a semifinal contest on Nov. 8 at 4 p.m.

The Sun Belt Conference Soccer Championship match is set for Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. All seven matches will be available at ESPN+. The winner of the eight-team field will earn the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Women's Soccer Championships.

Louisiana, under first-year coach Lance Key, returns to the postseason for the first time since 2016.
