Louisiana to wrap up trip to Carolinas with Sunday contest at App State
CONWAY, S.C. – Mackenzie Cherry broke a scoreless tie in the 62nd minute with her first goal of the season and Coastal Carolina added a pair of goals during a furious eight-minute span to claim a 3-0 victory over the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns soccer team on Friday at the CCU Soccer Stadium.
Louisiana, which had its two-match win streak snapped, dropped to 3-8-2 overall and 2-3-0 in league play. Coastal improved to 5-5-1 on the season and 4-1 in league play.
Una Einarsdottir took two of Louisiana's seven shots in the contest with Kacie Pou getting a shot on-goal in the first half.

Louisiana pitched a first-half shutout for the fourth consecutive match as Victoria Ryan collected the only shot that CCU placed on goal. The Ragin' Cajuns got a pair of attempts at the net in the 14th minute with shots from Telly Vunipola and Gwen Mummert before Pou's attempt in the 27th minute was saved by Chanticleer goalkeeper Eva Knapstein.
