LAFAYETTE – Arola Aparicio Gili scored a goal in the 12th minute to lead Little Rock to a 1-0 victory over the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's soccer team on Sunday afternoon at the Ragin' Cajuns Soccer/Track Facility.

Louisiana (4-5-1, 0-1-1 SBC) had 13 shots, seven of which were on goal, but were unable to get a ball past Little Rock goalkeeper Sara Small.

Junior midfielder Whitney Taggart had two shots on goal for the Cajuns, after scoring her first goal of the season on Friday in a 1-1 tie against Georgia State.

The goal by Aparicio Gili, her first of the season, proved to be the difference for the Trojans. Aparicio Gili's scored in the lower left corner off a deflection from Louisiana goalkeeper Cosette Morche.

Morche had six saves for the Ragin' Cajuns, who still are seeking their first Sun Belt Conference victory. Small had seven saves for the Trojans.

Louisiana will travel to face Georgia Southern (3-4-1, 0-1 SBC) on Friday, Sept. 23 in a 6 p.m. match at Eagle Field.
