Cajuns Host Dillard In Exhibition Game On Saturday

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team hosts Dillard (La.) in an exhibition game on Saturday at Blackham Coliseum.

Louisiana (1-0), which is coming off a 77-70 win at McNeese, is led in scoring by junior forward Simone Fields (28 ppg). Fields, who was named the Sun Belt Conference's Player of the Week, leads the league in both scoring and total rebounds per game (13).

Senior guard Jaylyn Gordon is averaging 26 points per game while junior guard Jodi Quinn (7 ppg), junior guard Troi Swain (6 ppg) and freshman guard Jasmine Thomas (5 ppg) all have seen significant playing time for the Cajuns.

Dillard (6-0) is coming off a 90-65 win over LSU Alexandria on Nov. 15. Louisiana knocked off LSUA 101-55 in a season opening exhibition game in Lafayette on Nov. 7.

Dillard, a member of the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference in the NAIA, is led by Alyssa Washington (17.8 ppg), Shaelynn Moore (17.0 ppg) and Adriiana Jackson (13.5 ppg).

Louisiana will return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 22 when it travels to play No. 1 Notre Dame at the Campbell Center in Houston, Texas.
