BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's soccer team dropped their second consecutive match as they fell to
Despite a valiant effort, the Cajuns were unable to generate any offense and were shutout for the second straight match.
The Cajuns recorded 10 shots on the afternoon, including five shots on goal. None of UL's shots were able to find the net and WKU recorded five saves to preserve the shutout.
The Hilltoppers recorded 20 shots on the day including seven shots on goal. The Cajuns kept
Goalkeeper Kristen Malen took the loss for the Cajuns. The goalie recorded six saves on the afternoon, but surrendered the match-winning goal late in the second period.
Offensively, freshman Courtney Hofland led the team with shots. She had three on the day to pace the Cajuns.
Senior captain Lindsay Webb had a pair of shots, including a shot on goal.
Hofland and Webb were the only two Ragin' Cajuns players to attempt more than one shot.
Neither team could muster any offense in the first half and entered intermission of the match in a 0-0 tie.
WKU was balanced taking 10 shots in both periods, while the Cajuns had just three shots in the opening frame. The Ragin' Cajuns rebounded in the second half collecting seven shots but were still not able to score the all important goal.
