MURFREESBORO, Tenn.-Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's soccer team had their four-match conference winning streak snapped as they fell 5-0 to Middle Tennessee on Friday night.

The Cajuns fell behind early and were unable to hold off the Blue Raiders attack.

Middle Tennessee scored a goal in the opening minute of the match and never looked back.

The Blue Raiders scored twice more in the half and the Cajuns trailed 3-0 at intermission.

In the second half, UL was unable to stop the Raiders again.  The Cajuns allowed two more goals and fell by the final score of 5-0.

Goalie Stephanie Weston took the loss for the Ragin' Cajuns.  Weston collected a pair of saves on the night, but surrendered three goals to MT.

Kristen Malen entered the match in relief of Weston.  The junior recorded six saves, but allowed a pair of goals herself.

The Cajuns offense rattled off nine shots on the evening including seven shots on goal.

Freshman Courtney Hofland led the Cajuns with four shots on the night, including three shots on goal.  Hofland was the only Cajuns player to attempt more than one shot on the night.

The Ragin' Cajuns soccer team will return to action on Sunday, Oct. 15 as they take on the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky.  The match is slated for 1 p.m.
