Connor Stanton
Connor Stanton enters his third year as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach with Louisiana Athletics after joining the staff in August 2017. He works specifically with the Softball, Men’s Golf, Cheerleading and Ragin’ Jazz programs.
 
Stanton joined the Ragin’ Cajuns after spending two months with Baylor Athletic Performance for his second stint as an Assistant Athletic Performance Coach, working with the Equestrian program and assisting the Baseball and Track and Field programs.
 
Stanton served as a Graduate Assistant at Valdosta State University from 2015-17, overseeing the training for Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, Men’s Golf, Women’s Soccer, and Softball. He also assisted with Football and Baseball.
 
Prior to his work at Valdosta State, Stanton served as an Assistant Athletic Performance Coach at Baylor from 2014-15, where he assisted with the training for all athletic teams. He previously interned with Luther College football while finishing his bachelor’s degree.
 
Stanton, an Illinois native, earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Health and Wellness from Luther College in 2014. He competed in baseball for the Norse. Stanton completed his master’s degree in Public Administration from Valdosta State in 2017.
 
Stanton holds his CSCS through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, his SCCC through the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches association, and is certified as a Level 1 Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting. He is also a TPI Level 3 Certified Fitness Professional through the Titleist Performance Institute.
