Mason Banger joined the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf program in March 2020 as an assistant coach after concluding a successful playing career at Harding University (Ark.).

During his time at HU, Banger was a three-time All-Great American Conference selection, a 2018 PING All-Central Region recipient and named to the GAC's All-Decade team. Banger was also a two-time, Division II Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar recipient while finishing as the school's all-time leader in stroke average (73.99), round of par or better (27) and career winning percentage (.776).
 
Banger earned individual medalist honors three times in his career compiling nine top-5 performances and 14 top-10 finishes for the NCAA Division II Bisons.
 
During his final season in 2017-18, Banger posted seven top-10 finishes and posted a school-record low 72.7 scoring average in 33 rounds of play. Banger helped Harding to a pair of appearances at the NCAA Midwest/Central Regionals while qualifying for the 2016 event as an individual.

Banger, a native of Southampton, England, earned his degree from Harding in 2018.
