The Cajuns led 14-9 in the second before Florida A&M rallied. Louisiana recovered from a 20-17 deficit to move ahead 22-21, but the Rattlers closed with four consecutive points.

Louisiana regained the match lead by holding the Rattlers to a .000 hitting percentage in the third. Four Cajuns blocks helped secure the 25-19 decision.

Florida A&M never trailed in the fourth, pulling away from a 4-4 tie to force the deciding set. Louisiana then surged ahead 7-2 in the fifth behind consecutive Garis aces, but the Rattlers erased the deficit and finished the comeback on Makenzie Taylor's ace.
