Louisiana Set to Tackle String of Matches in Tallahassee

Ragin’ Cajuns have a busy agenda with four matches in as many days

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball team spends the week on the road in Tallahassee, Florida with stops on the campuses of Florida State and Florida A&M for matches that are scheduled from Wednesday-Saturday, September 9-12.
 
Louisiana (2-3) starts the week off with a midweek contest against FSU on Wednesday, September 9 at 5:00 p.m. (CDT) from Tully Gymnasium. The Ragin' Cajuns-Seminoles matchup airs on ACCNX.
 
On Thursday, the scene transitions to the Al Lawson Center for the FAMU Tournament with contests against host-Florida A&M (Sept. 10), Hampton (Sept. 11) and FIU (Sept. 12).
 
The Ragin' Cajuns are coming off a 2-1 homestand highlighted by increased offensive production charged by Lolo Lambert's 49 kills (4.1/set) and steady frontline defense led by Lindsey Henry's 17 blocks (1.4/set). UL scored 13.3 kills per set on .234 hitting and held foes to a meager .154 hitting percentage.
 
Lambert has hit double digits in kills four straight outings and is averaging 3.6 kills per set. Henry (22 blocks) leads a group of four players that have already reached double digits in blocks.
 
Starting with the trip to Tallahassee, the Ragin' Cajuns play their next five matches on the road.

UP NEXT FOR LOUISIANA
The Ragin' Cajuns complete their road trip on Tuesday, September 15 in Hammond taking on Southeastern at 6:30 p.m. in the University Center. Louisiana, which defeated SLU 3-1 on Sept. 3 at E.K. Long Gym, goes for the season sweep.
 
Louisiana then returns home to E.K. Long Gym for the Ragin' Cajuns Classic from Thursday-Saturday, September 17-19. The Ragin' Cajuns kick off the tournament with a 6:00 p.m. battle on Thursday (Sept. 17) against Mississippi State – the first visit by an SEC squad to E.K. Long since MSU's last visit in 2006.
