Ragin’ Cajuns Extend Win Streak with 4–3 Thriller at South Alabama

MOBILE, Ala. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Tennis team continued its late-season momentum on Saturday, April 4, earning a hard-fought 4–3 victory over South Alabama at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts in Mobile, Alabama to secure its third consecutive win — tying the program's longest win streak of the spring 2026 dual match season.

The victory also marked Louisiana's first road win over South Alabama in Mobile since April 2006.

Louisiana (9-6) grabbed an early lead after the conclusion of doubles action. The Ragin' Cajuns rallied after the Jaguars (9-10) opened with a win on court 2.

The duo of Mason Landreth and Leonard Tramolay posted a 6-3 victory at No. 1 doubles to level the score, then Gianluca Filoramo and Samuel Kyjaci followed with a 6-3 triumph at No. 3 to secure the opening point for the Cajuns.

South Alabama answered in singles play, taking the first two courts to finish (No. 3 and No. 6) to jump ahead 2-1, but Louisiana delivered in key moments.

Landreth battled through a three-set contest at No. 1 singles, earning a 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 victory over Braden Hannig to give the Cajuns their second point. Tramolay followed with another three-set win at the No. 2 position, defeating Juan Accossatto 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 to vault Louisiana back into the lead.

With the match hanging in the balance, Darius Balan delivered the decisive fourth point for Louisiana. Competing at No. 5 singles, Balan regrouped after dropping the second set and secured the match-clinching point with a 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 victory over Jules Caby

With the win, Louisiana continues to build momentum as the regular season winds down, closing on Saturday, April 11 at Cajun Courts, and the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Championship tournament approaches.
