No. 1 singles and doubles performers land First Team All-Sun Belt recognition

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Tennis program earned top recognition in the Sun Belt Conference on Wednesday, as Mason Landreth was named First Team All-Conference in singles and paired with Leonard Tramolay for First Team honors in doubles.

The annual SBC Men's Tennis Awards and All-Conference Teams were voted on by the league's nine head coaches and highlight a standout season for the Cajuns' top court performers.

Landreth anchored Louisiana at No. 1 singles, collecting six victories on Court 1 and finishing with seven overall wins – tied for the second-most on the team. He closed the regular season in strong form, posting a 5-1 record over his final seven matches including wins over fellow SBC athletes Braden Hannig of South Alabama and Southern Miss' Jose Murariu.

It's the first All-SBC honor for Landreth, the Lafayette native who leveled up to Court 1 this spring.

In doubles, Landreth and Tramolay formed one of the Sun Belt's most dangerous tandems. The Court 1 duo compiled a 13-5 record and ended the season as the hottest pair, closing on an eight-match win streak.

Their dominant stretch featured four wins over conference opponents, including two victories against South Alabama's Adam Bouyacoub and Deren Yigin. The pair also delivered a marquee result in the SBC semifinals, defeating No. 54 Old Dominion's Thomas Nelson and Adam Majchrzak.

Landreth and Tramolay clinched the doubles point seven times – including the decisive match in the Sun Belt Championship quarterfinal win over South Alabama. As a unit, Louisiana's doubles lineup thrived behind the Court 1 duo – twice named SBC Doubles Team of the Week – finishing the season with a 30-17 overall record.

Landreth and Tramolay are the first Ragin' Cajuns doubles pairing to receive All-SBC accolades since the 2023 season when Karlo Kajin was honored with two with separate doubles partners, Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez and Vasil Dimitrov.

The All-Conference selections cap a season in which Landreth and Tramolay consistently set the tone for the Cajuns at the top of the lineup, both in singles and doubles competition.

The Ragin' Cajuns finished 11-7 in their second season with head coach Thomas Sevel, highlighted by another H-E-B Tournament of Champions title, wins in five of the last six matches, a sweep of rival South Alabama, and the No. 4 seed in the SBC Championship and a semifinals appearance for the first time since 2024.
