Saturday also marks a final tune-up before the Sun Belt Conference Championships, scheduled for April 16-19 in Rome, Georgia.

Admission to the match is free, with live scoring available on the men's tennis schedule page at RaginCajuns.com.

The Ragin' Cajuns have been dominant at home this spring, posting a perfect 3-0 record at Cajun Courts while dropping just one total point across those matches. Louisiana opened its home slate with a 6-1 win over Norfolk State before sweeping both Alcorn (4-0) and Nicholls (7-0).

UL passed its first and only prior SBC test in thrilling fashion at South Alabama on Saturday, April 4, rallying from a 2-1 deficit with three straight singles wins from Mason Landreth, Leonard Tramolay and Darius Balan to secure the decision.

Individually, Balan leads the Cajuns with a 9-6 singles record and enters the weekend on a three-match win streak, having won eight of his last 10 decisions. Gianluca Filoramo has added depth with a 7-4 mark, Samuel Kyjaci boasts an efficient 7-6 record, and Landreth has delivered five wins on Court 1.

In doubles play, the pairing of Landreth and Tramolay has been a consistent force, compiling a team-best 10-5 record and riding a five-match win streak. As a team, Louisiana holds a 25-15 doubles record (.625), including a strong 10-5 mark at the No. 1 position.

Southern Miss (7-10) arrives in Lafayette looking to snap a five-match losing streak, all of which have come on the road. The Golden Eagles own a win over Incarnate Word — an opponent that defeated Louisiana earlier this season — but most recently fell 4-0 to South Alabama.

The Golden Eagles are paced in singles by Olimjon Nabiev's team-high eight wins, spread evenly between Courts 3 and 4, and in doubles by the tandem of Dakotah Bobo and Henry Lamchinniah who stand 5-5 on Court 1.

Louisiana has controlled the recent series, winning eight of the last 10 meetings against Southern Miss, including a 4-0 sweep last season in Hattiesburg. Kyjaci highlighted that victory with wins in both singles and doubles play.

UP NEXT FOR LOUISIANA
The Ragin' Cajuns head out to Rome, Georgia for the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Men's Tennis Championship tournament set for April 16-19 at the Rome Tennis Center.

Louisiana's official seed for the tournament, and first-round matchup, will be revealed on Monday, April 13.
