Louisiana looks to build on recent road success before postseason begins in Pensacola
ATLANTA – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Basketball closes out the 2025-26 regular season on Friday, February 27 in Atlanta, with a 4:00 p.m. (CST) tip against Georgia State at the GSU Convocation Center.
The matchup marks Louisiana's first trip to Atlanta to face Georgia State since January 2020 and the program's first-ever appearance at the GSU Convocation Center.
Live coverage will be available on ESPN+, while fans across Acadiana can tune in to KPEL 105.1 FM and listen worldwide on the Varsity Network with Dawson Eiserloh on the call.
Friday's contest serves as the final tune-up before Louisiana (4-24, 2-15 SBC) opens play in the Sun Belt Conference Championship on Tuesday, March 3, in Pensacola. Both the Ragin' Cajuns and Panthers are locked into the tournament's opening-round pod, making this regular-season finale a potential preview of a first-round matchup.
The Ragin' Cajuns have won two of their last three on the road, claiming wins at Akron (Feb. 7) and South Alabama (Feb. 14) in recent weeks. The Panthers (9-20, 4-13 SBC) are on a nine-game losing skid, which was extended on Tuesday following an overtime loss to Coastal Carolina in Atlanta.
Louisiana has enjoyed sustained success in the series, holding a 13-4 all-time edge over Georgia State, including a 6-1 mark in Atlanta. UL claimed the last three meetings — all at the Cajundome — by double figures.
The Cajuns are paced by the trio of junior Mikaylah Manley and freshmen Amijah Price and Imani Daniel. Each has surpassed 300 points this season, ranking among the Sun Belt's Top 25 scorers.
Manley is averaging 16.0 points over the past month, Price has scored 16 or more in three straight outings and Daniel is coming off an 18-point, 13-rebound double-double against Arkansas State.
Crystal Henderson, a preseason All-Sun Belt second team choice, leads GSU in scoring at 16.7 points per game, while Cheyenne Holloman (8.6 ppg) and Ari Dyson (5.3 rpg) anchor the supporting cast.
