Matchup with Southern Miss is first of two remaining games at the Cajundome

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Basketball team opens its final homestand of the regular season on Wednesday, February 18 when it hosts Southern Miss at the Cajundome.

Tipoff with the Lady Eagles is set for 6:00 p.m. The game will be streamed on ESPN+, with radio coverage available on The GOAT 103.3 FM and 1420 AM in the Acadiana region and worldwide via the Varsity Network.

It marks the first of two home games this week for Louisiana (4-22, 2-13 SBC), with Arkansas State's visit on Saturday, February 21 officially closing the home slate for the 2025-26 season.

Wednesday's matchup is the program's Pink and Play4Kay Game honoring breast cancer survivors, and fans are encouraged to wear pink.

Admission is free. The Cajundome's clear bag policy and cashless concessions will be implemented.

The Ragin' Cajuns are coming off a 57-54 road win at South Alabama, their best defensive performance in Sun Belt play. UL forced 22 turnovers, held USA to 19 percent shooting in the decisive fourth quarter and yielded its lowest point total in league action this season.

The meeting with Southern Miss (13-13, 6-8 SBC) is a rematch of a December 20 contest in Hattiesburg, Mississippi won 76-58 by the Lady Eagles. Louisiana led at halftime in that game before USM's inside presence took control in the second half.

For Louisiana, Mikaylah Manley has emerged as a steady scoring punch the past month. She has reached double figures in eight of the last nine games and is averaging 17.4 points during that stretch. Manley ranks among the Top 20 scorers in the Sun Belt and leads the Cajuns at 12.8 points per game.

Fans have another opportunity to see the Sun Belt's top two scoring freshmen. Amijah Price has 296 points this season, while Imani Daniel has 270. The duo has combined for 566 points entering Wednesday's matchup.

USM has dropped seven of its last nine games since mid-January. Four active Lady Eagles still average double-figures but opponents are averaging 77.4 points per contest the last nine games.
