Ragin’ Cajuns round out the January portion of the 2025-26 season schedule

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Basketball team wraps up a two-game stint in the eastern time zone on Saturday, January 31 with a stop in Huntington, West Virigina to meet Marshall in a 12:00 p.m. (CST) contest from the Cam Henderson Center.

Louisiana plays the fourth different opponent in a series of five straight games against eastern-based SBC teams. Live coverage is available on ESPN+ and on The GOAT 103.3 FM and 1420 AM and Varsity Network.

The Ragin' Cajuns (2-19, 1-10 SBC) make their second-ever appearance in Huntington, last visiting in February 2024. For the first time in the young series, UL and Marshall aren't meeting in a new location.

The matchup with the Thundering Herd (17-6, 8-3 SBC) marks the final contest in January. Louisiana starts the final month of the regular season at home on February 4 vs. Old Dominion.

Louisiana and Marshall meet in SBC play for just the third time since the Thundering Herd joined the league in 2022-23. The home team won the previous two instances, the Ragin' Cajuns capturing a thrilling 92-88 overtime win last February at the Cajundome.

The Ragin' Cajuns returned to their full complement of players available for competition when freshman Imani Daniel took the court on Thursday at JMU. Daniel scored 10 points and posted a team-high seven rebounds in her first action after missing three straight games following an injury sustained on January 15 at Arkansas State.

Daniel, along with fellow freshman Amijah Price, are two of the SBC's top scoring freshmen this season. The duo has both eclipsed 200 points with Daniel crossing the threshold on Thursday.

Mikaylah Manley has scored 20-plus in three of the last four games including 21 points at JMU to take over as UL's leading scorer, her 12.1 points per game ranking Top 25 within the SBC.

Marshall owns the SBC's best team 3-point field goal percentage (37%). Senior Meredith Maier leads the team with 53 made triples while Peyton Ilderton adds 50 triples and is tops in percentage (40%) from beyond the arc.
