Louisiana Women's Tennis Starts Spring Season With Home Doubleheader

Ragin' Cajuns hosting Louisiana Christian and Southern at Cajun Courts on January 22
LAFAYETTE - The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Tennis team starts play in the Spring 2026 dual match season on Thursday, January 22 with matches against Louisiana Christian and Southern University at Cajun Courts in the UL Athletics Complex footprint.
Louisiana begins play and officially opens the season at 10:00 a.m. against LCU before wrapping up the day at 2:00 p.m. with Southern.

The season-opening doubleheader marks the first of 10 matches for Louisiana out on Cajun Courts this spring. It's the lone home events for the Ragin' Cajuns in January as the anticipated winter weather this weekend has moved the Northwestern State match, which was originally set for January 24, back to March 11.
Louisiana (9-10 in 2025) is led by senior Angelique Berrat who posted a 9-5 record in singles in the 2025 season including a 7-5 mark at No. 1 singles. Junior Nina Krecklenberg (7-4 in 2025) and sophomore Rocio Navarro (6-4 in 2025) provide additional experience.
Head coach Stephanie Vallejos completed the 2026 roster with the addition of five freshmen with Lou-Agathe Etienne looking to join Berrat in continuing the success of players from Vichy, France.
