Louisiana Back Home To Close Out Midweek Schedule Against Grambling, Nicholls

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Baseball team closes out its midweek schedule beginning on Tuesday when it plays host to in-state opponent Grambling at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park.

First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Following its midweek contest against Grambling (18-19), Louisiana (19-23) will host another in-state foe – Nicholls (15-25) – on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Both games will be streamed live on ESPN+ with fans able to listen to both games in the Lafayette area on KPEL-FM (96.5) and worldwide on the Varsity Network app.

Louisiana capped off a seven-game roadtrip with a series win at Old Dominion, earning a 10-0 win in the finale on Saturday. The Ragin' Cajuns, who will host Georgia Southern this weekend in a three-game series, face Grambling for the 19^th time overall and first since a 12-5 win in an elimination game at the 2024 NCAA Bryan-College Station Regional.

Sophomore Tate Hess (4-2, 6.50 ERA) will start in Tuesday's contest against Grambling with southpaw Riley Marcotte (0-0, 3.81 ERA) slated to pitch on Wednesday.

Conor Higgs (.336-12-30), Owen Galt (.291-0-11), Maddox Mandino (.290-1-6), Caleb Stelly (.288-5-20) and Lee Amedee (.286-1-25) pace the Ragin' Cajuns at the plate.
