Louisiana Hosts App State in Home Finale

The Cajuns have won the last two in the series
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana women's tennis team wraps up the season on Saturday when they host App State at 10 a.m. at Cajun Courts.
Louisiana has beaten App State in the last two meetings by a score of 4-3, including last year's road win. All-time the series has been tight, with three of the four meetings finishing 4-3 and the other 4-2.
Angelique Berrat looks to get to double digit singles wins in the final match. The junior enters action at 9-4 on the season with seven wins on court one. Louisiana has had strong singles play with Ivana Castillo and Nina Krecklenberg winning seven matches each while Rocio Navarro has six wins this season.
Berrat also has eight doubles wins, playing primarily on court one. Jenaila Prulla leads the Ragin' Cajuns in doubles wins with nine while Castillo has eight and Krecklenberg has seven this year.
The Mountaineers are 16-5, winners of nine straight contests, and enter the weekend at 8-2 in Sun Belt Conference play, the second best team in the league. They've been strong in singles in conference play, with Savannah Dada-Mascoll and Olwyn Ryan-Bovey each winning eight matches. Dada-Mascoll leads the team with a 16-2 record for the season, all on court one.
