Cajuns Come Up Short Against App State in Season Finale

Louisiana finished the season with nine wins, its most since the 2021 season
LAFAYETTE – A short-handed Louisiana women's tennis team fell in its final match of the season, 4-0, against App State on Saturday at Cajun Courts.
Louisiana was locked in a tight match on court one in doubles. Angelique Berrat and Jenaila Prulla were tied at 4-4 when the Mountaineers clinched the doubles point, leaving the match unfinished.
Ivana Castillo had the team's best showing in singles. The freshman won her first set and led in set two, 6-3, 2-1, but App State clinched the match quickly. Louisiana was short-handed due to injuries and down to only five available players in the season finale.
