Louisiana closes the regular season next weekend at home against App State
TROY, Alabama – The Louisiana women's tennis team fell in their final road match of 2025 by a score of 4-0 at Troy on Saturday.
Things were tight on courts two and three in doubles play. Louisiana had a chance to tie the match at 5 on court two, but the Trojans took the match 6-4 to clinch the point. Court three went unfinished, but Ivana Castillo and Karolina Skowronska were tied 5-5 with the Trojans.
Castillo took that momentum into singles. The freshman won the first set and led in the second, 7-6, 3-0, but her match went unfinished on court six. Angelique Berrat also performed strongly on court one after dropping the opening set. The junior was deep in the third set when her match was called at 2-6, 6-2, 3-4. The home side took the contests on two, three, and five to win the match.
Louisiana closes the regular season next Saturday at 10 a.m. when they host App State at Cajun Courts.
