Cajun Close the Regular Season with East Coast Road Trip

Louisiana heads to the East Coast before next week’s Sun Belt Conference Championships
HARRISONBURG, Virginia – The Louisiana men's tennis team closes the regular season with a road trip beginning Saturday at James Madison before facing No. 59 Old Dominion on Sunday.
The Cajuns almost had a comeback for the ages on Sunday, trailing 3-0 to Troy, they rallied to tie the match before falling in the final singles match in a third set. Samuel Kyjaci picked up his 10th victory of the year, while Mason Landreth improved to 4-0 in conference play and won his fourth match in a row.
Louisiana looks to remain undefeated against James Madison in the third meeting between the programs. Last season, the Cajuns came away with a 5-2 win in Harrisonburg. The Dukes have struggled this season and are 0-5 heading into the final weekend of the regular season. Their match on Sunday against Southern Miss will determine the final spot in next week's conference championships.
Old Dominion is undefeated in SBC action at 5-0 and is 8-1 overall at home. The Monarchs lead the season series 3-1, taking each of the last three in the series.
Next week starts the SBC Championships in Rome, Georgia, with the top eight teams in the league playing for a chance at the conference championship trophy. Action from the Rome Tennis Center begins Friday, April 18.
