Cajuns Fall to Eagles on Saturday

It was Louisiana’s first Sun Belt Conference defeat of the season
STATESBORO, Georgia – The Louisiana men's tennis team fell to Georgia Southern, 4-0, on Saturday in Statesboro. Louisiana had begun Sun Belt Conference play 2-0 before Saturday's defeat.
Georgia Southern took the doubles point with wins on courts two and three. Before their match was called, Oriol Fillat Gimenez and William Jade were deadlocked on court one, 4-4.
Mason Landreth picked up a first set win, 7-5, and trailed in the second set, 2-4, on court five. Fillat Gimenez led in the second set, as did Leonard Tramolay, but their contests were unfinished after the Eagles took the matches on two, three, and four to clinch.
Louisiana heads up the east coast to face Coastal Carolina tomorrow morning at 9 AM CT.
