Krecklenberg Wins Her Sixth Straight on Sunday

The sophomore is now tied for the team lead with seven victories
SAN MARCOS, Texas – Nina Krecklenberg ran her singles winning streak to six straight on Sunday against Texas State. It wasn't enough as the Louisiana women's tennis team fell to the Bobcats 4-1 in San Marcos.
The Cajuns fought in doubles but came up just short. The Bobcats broke serve on court three to take that match 6-4. Kreckenberg and Rocio Navarro were deadlocked on court two, 5-5, when their match went unfinished.
Krecklenberg won her match in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. The sophomore is now tied with Angelique Berrat with seven singles wins in 2025. Beret was tied on court one, 6-3, 3-6, and heading to a third set when her match was unfinished. Navarro was also about to enter a third set when the match was clinched, with a score of 2-6, 6-3.
Louisiana remains on the road to face South Alabama on Saturday with first serve scheduled for 10 a.m. from Mobile.
