Cajuns Remain Perfect in SBC Play After Sunday Win Over Georgia State

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana men's tennis team remained perfect in Sun Belt Conference play after a 4-1 win over Georgia State on Sunday at Cajun Courts. With the win, the Cajuns also improved to 5-0 at home in 2025.

The visiting Panthers took the doubles contest on court one while the Cajuns led on courts two and three. Samuel Kyjaci and Leonard Tramolay pulled out a win on two, 6-4, to even the score. The match on three went to a tiebreaker but Mason Landreth and Darius Balan came away victorious 7-6 (7-3) to clinch the point.

Landreth made quick work of his opponent in singles in a 6-0, 6-1 win for the 2-0 Cajun lead. After the Panthers took the match on one, along with the first set on the remaining courts, Louisiana bounced back to force a third set on three, four, and six. Kyjaci bounced back after losing his first set and dominated the final two in a 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 win. Tramolay clinched the match in favor of the Cajuns in a similar fashion, winning 2-6, 6-4, 6-1.

Louisiana heads east next weekend to face Georgia Southern on Saturday before taking on Coastal Carolina on Sunday as they look to stay undefeated in SBC action.
