Louisiana Travels to San Marcos for Sunday Sun Belt Contest

The Cajuns cruised over ULM their last time out
SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Louisiana women's tennis team looks for their second Sun Belt Conference win of the season as they head to Texas State on Sunday.
Last time out the Ragin' Cajuns faced little resistance in a 4-1 victory over ULM at Cajun Courts. Angelique Berrat, Nina Krecklenberg, and Ivana Castillo all picked up singles victories in the win. Berrat leads the Cajuns with seven singles wins, including a 5-3 record on court one. Castillo and Krecklenberg picked up their sixth win of the year over the Warhawks.
The Bobcats are having a strong season at 12-3 but are just 4-3 on the road. They are 3-1 in conference play, having won over Georgia Southern, ULM, and Arkansas State, but they lost to Coastal Carolina on March 9. Last season the Cajuns came away with a 4-3 road win over the Bobcats in their first trip to San Marcos since 2019. The teams have split the last six in the series and the last two meetings have come down to the wire with a 4-3 final.
Louisiana remains on the road next week to face South Alabama on Saturday before taking on Southern Miss on Sunday.
