Louisiana Earns First SBC Win of 2025 on Sunday

The Cajuns improved to 4-1 on their home court this season
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana women's tennis team defeated ULM for their first Sun Belt Conference win of 2025, with the Cajuns cruising to a 4-1 victory on Sunday at Cajun Courts.
Louisiana took the doubles point to start the day. Ivana Castillo and Rocio Navarro got the Cajuns on the board with a 6-3 win on three. After the Warhawks took the contest on one, Nina Krecklenberg and Karolina Skowronska locked down the point with a 6-3 win on court two.
Castillo carried that momentum over to singles where she didn't need long to earn a 6-0, 6-1 win. Angelique Berrat won on court one 6-1, 6-3 before Krecklenberg clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-2 win on court five.
Louisiana returns to the court next Sunday at 10 a.m. when they take on Texas State in San Marcos.
