Louisiana Hosts Arkansas State and ULM in SBC Weekend Action

The Cajuns are 3-0 this season at home
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana women's tennis team looks to pick up a pair of Sun Belt Conference wins this weekend as they host Arkansas State and ULM. The Cajuns will take on the Red Wolves on Friday before facing the Warhawks on Sunday with both contests starting at 10 a.m. at Cajun Courts.
The Ragin' Cajuns have won five of their last six, with their only defeat coming at Coastal Carolina on Friday in their SBC opener. The Cajuns are led by Angelique Berrat and Rocio Navarro in singles with six wins each. Navarro is on a five-match winning streak while Berrat has won four in a row. Nina Krecklenberg has also won four straight for the Cajuns and has five wins this year. Ivana Castillo is 5-2 in her first collegiate season and off to a strong start.
Louisiana has also been strong in doubles, boasting an 18-8 combined record. Jenaila Prulla has a team-leading seven doubles wins while Berrat, Krecklenberg, and Castillo each have six doubles victories.
It'll be the first meeting between the Cajuns and the Red Wolves since the 2022 season. Louisiana has won the last three in the series and is 9-1 at home against Arkansas State all-time. The Red Wolves enter the weekend with an 8-4 record after a win over ULM on Monday. It was the program's first win in the conference opener since 2014.
Louisiana then welcomes ULM on Sunday. The Warhawks are 3-4 on the season with wins over Grambling, Alcorn State, and Jackson State. The Ragin' Cajuns have won three in a row in the series, including a win in the SBC Championships last season, and five of the last six.
