The Cajuns have six of their last eight

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Louisiana men's tennis team hits the road for its final non-conference matches of the season, facing Charlotte on Sunday before taking on Gardner-Webb on Monday.

Louisiana enters the weekend with momentum after securing back-to-back 4-2 wins over New Mexico State and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Sophomore Samuel Kyjaci led Louisiana with three wins last weekend, two in singles and one in doubles, extending his singles win streak to five matches. Kyjaci battled back from a set down in singles, while he and Leonard Tramolay secured a 6-3 doubles victory, marking their fifth win as a pair this season in the team's win over Corpus Christi. On court one, Oriol Fillat Gimenez delivered in clutch moments, earning two three-set victories with 7-5 scores in the final sets.

Charlotte is 4-5 on the season looking to rebound after a loss to Tulane. The 49ers have been strong at home, winning three of their last four matches. Gardner-Webb is 10-2 and has been dominant all season, with its only losses coming against Stetson and No. 1-ranked Wake Forest. Gardner Webb has been unbeatable at their home court all season long going 5-0.

The Cajuns follow up this weekend with a trip to Mississippi to begin Sun Belt Conference play against Southern Miss on March 16.
