Louisiana Opens Week with Doubleheader Sweep

The Cajuns won both matches without dropping a point
PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Louisiana women's tennis opened a busy week with a pair of wins over Prairie View A&M on Monday in Prairie View, Texas. The Ragin' Cajuns won the opening match 7-0 before following that with a 4-0 win.
Nina Krecklenberg had a big day, winning both of her singles contests and only dropped one game. The sophomore also partnered with Kamea Medora for a court one doubles win, 6-2, in their first match on the top court.
Angelique Berrat also won both of her singles contests. She battled to a 4-6, 6-1, 10-6 win in the first match before cruising 6-0, 6-2 in the second. The doubles tandem of Ivana Castillo and Rocio Navarro remained undefeated and are now 3-0 on the year. Castillo picked up a doubles win in the second match to move to 4-0 overall in doubles as a freshman. Her singles win moved her to 3-1 on that side.
Karolina Skowronska made quick work of her opponent, 6-0, 6-3, playing in her first match of the spring. Jenaila Prulla picked up her first win on court one of her career in the first match for her third win overall on the year. Medora improved to 2-0 in singles and was up a set when her match was called in the second match.
Louisiana heads to San Antonio, Texas to face Incarnate Word tomorrow at 11 a.m.
