The Cajuns will play three matches in three days to close non-conference play

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana women's tennis team plays three matches over three days this week with the first two on the road. The Ragin' Cajuns open the week on Monday against Prairie View A&M before facing Incarnate Word on Tuesday and Southern on Wednesday.

Angelique Berrat and Rocio Navarro lead the way in singles with three wins each. Beret has played every match this season on court one while Navarro has done most of her work on court four where she's 2-0. Jenaila Prulla, Nina Krecklenberg, and Ivana Castillo also have a pair of singles wins. As a team, the Cajuns are a combined 14-9 in singles.

Louisiana has also played well in doubles, with a combined 7-5 record. Nina Krecklenberg has three wins, all coming on court two. The duo of Navarro and Castillo are a perfect 2-0 on the season on court three.

Prairie View A&M is winless on the year at 0-12 with one point in those matches. Incarnate Word is 2-4 on the year with both wins over Prairie View. The Cardinals have struggled this season, only taking two points in their four defeats against Rice, Texas State, Abilene Christian, and Tarleton State.

The Cajuns return home to face Southern on Wednesday, a match that was rescheduled from the season opener. Southern has only played two matches this season and is 0-2 against Tulane and McNeese. They'll take on Southeastern Louisiana on Tuesday before taking on the Cajuns.

This week wraps up the non-conference portion of Louisiana's schedule before starting Sun Belt Conference play on March 7 at Coastal Carolina.
