Louisiana Heads to Corpus Looking to Get Back on Track

The Cajuns look to bounce back after dropping a pair of matches last weekend in Oregon
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Louisiana men's tennis team hits the road once again as they head to Corpus Christi, Texas for a pair of weekend matches. They'll open the weekend against New Mexico State on Saturday before facing Texas A&M - Corpus Christi on Sunday.
Samuel Kyjaci ran his winning streak up to three in singles over the weekend. The sophomore is tied with Oriol Fillat Gimenez for the team lead with four wins. The Ragin' Cajuns have done most of their damage this year on court five where they are 5-3, led by a pair of wins by Kyjaci and Calin Postea.
Kyjaci and Fillat Gimenez also each have four doubles victories. On court one, Kyjaci and Leonard Tramolay have picked up four wins, while on court two, Fillat Gimenez and William Jade have four wins this season.
New Mexico State is 6-8 on the year, including a 4-3 win last time out over Illinois State. The Aggies went 3-0 this year in Lubbock, Texas, including a win over Texas Tech. Texas A&M - Corpus Christi is 8-0 this season, with four wins over Prairie View A&M. The Islanders swept Oral Roberts on Sunday in Waco, Texas.
The Cajuns follow this weekend with a trip to North Carolina to face Charlotte and Gardner Webb in their final two non-conference contests.
