Ragin' Cajuns, Bobcats Battle To 1-1 Draw

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Carson Glenn scored her fourth goal of the season to give Louisiana an early lead, but Texas State answered in the second half as the Ragin' Cajuns women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw on Sunday at the Bobcat Soccer Complex.
Glenn put Louisiana (5-4-4, 2-1-3 Sun Belt) on the board in the 14th minute when she converted an unassisted strike past Bobcats goalkeeper Brooklyn Escobar. The sophomore forward led all players with four shots, including two on goal.
Texas State (7-2-4, 4-0-2 Sun Belt) equalized in the 75th minute when Helen Alormenu scored her team-leading fifth goal of the season, assisted by Victoria Meza and Alexis Montgomery.
Louisiana outshot the Bobcats, 16-13, with Glenn and Tori Bockstadter (O'Fallon, Mo./Fort Zumwalt West) each placing shots on goal. Goalkeeper Natalie Mayes recorded five saves for the Ragin' Cajuns, while Escobar stopped two shots for Texas State.
The Ragin' Cajuns return to action on Friday when they visit James Madison in a 6 p.m. CT contest from Harrisonburg, Va.
