The Ragin’ Cajuns have now won six straight over the Lions
HAMMOND, Louisiana – The Louisiana women's tennis teams started their 2025 campaign strong with a 7-0 sweep over Southeastern Louisiana on Tuesday in Hammond.
Angelique Berrat and Jenaila Prulla got the day going with a 6-0 victory on court one in doubles. The freshman pairing of Ivana Castillo and Rocio Navarro clinched the point, 6-4, while Nina Krecklenberg and Kamea Medora earned a 7-5 win on court two.
Berrat picked up where she left off in 2024 with a straight set, 6-3, 6-1, win on court one. It was the junior's first match higher than court three and she is now 20-10 in her Cajun career. Ivana Castillo put the Cajuns on clinching point with a 6-3, 6-2 win, the first of her career. Prulla sealed the win on court two, 6-2, 6-4. Krecklenberg also won her match in straight sets while Rocio Navarro and Kamea Medora won their matches in three sets to complete the sweep.
The Ragin' Cajuns remain on the road this Friday as they'll face LSU at 5 p.m. in Baton Rouge.
