The Ragin’ Cajuns return to Lafayette for their home opener on Sunday
BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – The Louisiana women's tennis team fell to No. 16 LSU on Friday night in Baton Rouge. The Cajuns return to Lafayette for their home opener against Stephen F. Austin on Sunday.
The freshmen impressed for the Cajuns. In doubles, Rocio Navarro and Ivana Castillo led 4-2 on court three before their match went unfinished when the Tigers clinched the doubles point. In singles, Ana Martinez Vaquero was locked in a close battle on court three in her collegiate debut. The freshman fell in the first set but led the second when her match was called at 6-4, 3-4. Castillo also had a strong showing in singles, trailing 6-4, 3-2, when her match went unfinished.
