Louisiana Falls to LSU in Final Match of Season-Opening Road Trip

The Cajuns return home to face UT Tyler on Feb. 1
BATON ROUGE, LA. – The Louisiana men's tennis team closed a three-match road trip to open the 2025 spring season with a 7-0 defeat at LSU on Wednesday. Louisiana will now have some time off before facing UT Tyler in their home opener on February 1.
The match was much closer than the 7-0 final score. The sophomore duo Samuel Kyjaci and Leonard Tramolay took court one down to the wire before falling 6-4. Oriol Fillat Gimenez and William Jade took three points on court two in the final doubles match to conclude.
Mason Landreth got out to a quick start by winning set one but fell in three sets, 3-6, 6-1, 6-2. Calin Postea had a lead in his first set but fell 7-5, 6-2 on court four. Vasil Dimitrov had a strong performance on court one but ultimately fell 6-3, 6-4.
