Louisiana combined for 17 wins over two days last weekend
DeLAND, Florida – The Louisiana women's tennis team heads east for the Stetson Invitational, a two-day event in DeLand, Florida beginning on Friday.
Louisiana won three draws at last weekend's Lady Demon Invite hosted by Northwestern State. Angelique Berrat won the top draw while freshman Rocio Navarro won her draw in her collegiate debut. Not to be outdone, Nina Krecklenberg and Karolina Skowronska won their doubles draw to get off to a hot start to the fall.
The event is hosted by Stetson which is coming off its third-straight NCAA Tournament appearance and has won two of three ASUN championships. Chattanooga and Kennesaw State will also be joining the Ragin' Cajuns. Last season the Mocs went 8-14, including a 1-6 record in the Southern Conference. The Owls went 11-8 last spring and went 7-3 in the ASUN.
The Ragin' Cajuns will then return home to Louisiana for an off week before competing in the Nicholls Fall Tournament in Thibodaux in early October.
