The Ragin’ Cajuns host Southern Miss, Tulane, and Tyler Junior College

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana men's tennis team opens the fall this weekend with the Youngsville Hidden Dual at the Youngsville Sports Complex. The Ragin' Cajuns open the season for the second year in a row in Youngsville, this year hosting Southern Miss, Tulane, and Tyler Junior College.
Coming off their 13th winning season in a row, Louisiana enters the season under the guidance of Thomas Sevel. The Ragin' Cajuns return a lot of familiar faces this season in Vasil Dimitrov, Oriol Fillat Gimenez, Samuel Kyjaci, Mason Landreth, Calin Postea, William Ribero, and Leonard Tramolay.
Dimitrov led the team in wins last season with 11, with the majority coming on court four. Fillat Gimenez was also strong last year in a return from injury, going 7-2 on court five. Kyjaci won six matches while Ribero and Tramolay each had four wins.
Sun Belt Conference rival Southern Miss comes to Youngsville after going 7-11 last season and 3-5 in conference action. The Ragin' Cajuns won their head-to-head match-up in the spring 4-1 at Cajun Courts. Tulane finished the spring 9-15 while Tyler JC went 8-5.
