Men’s Basketball Adds Chicago Native Davis to 24-25 Roster

The Illinois native averaged 10.3 points last season at Eastern Illinois
LAFAYETTE, Louisiana – Looking to reload for the 2024-25 season, the Louisiana men's basketball team announced the signing of Kyndall Davis on Tuesday. Davis averaged 10.3 points per game last season at Eastern Illinois.
"Kyndall is a small forward that will bring experience to our team," said head coach Bob Marlin. "He can score, rebound the ball, and is a really good defender that will impact the game in many ways. He improved his efficiency during conference play, scoring 13.8 points per game with 20 or more points four times."
Davis picked it up in Ohio Valley Conference action, averaging 13.8 points, second most on the team, and scoring in double figures 13 times. The Chicago native led EIU during conference play in rebounding at 6.1 per game, steals with 33, and blocks with 14 in 33.7 minutes per game.
He began his college career at Long Island University where he averaged 6.9 points in 47 games over two seasons. In 2021-22 he made 20 starts and averaged 8.8 points and 3.7 rebounds as LIU reached the second round of the Northeast Conference Tournament.
After his two seasons there, including the 2020-21 COVID-shortened year, Davis played a season at Panola College. There he led them to the NJCAA Region XIV Tournament Championship game and a 28-5 record. That season Davis averaged 9.1 points and 3.4 rebounds with 46 steals and 22 blocks.
Davis joins the previously announced Jeremiah Evans (Forward/Southwood High School) and Duncan Powell (Forward/Sacramento State) as part of the 2024-25 Louisiana signees.
