Louisiana Falls in Final Road Test of the Spring

It was Louisiana’s first trip to Mobile since 2019
MOBILE, Alabama - The Louisiana women's tennis team fell in their final match of the regular season, 4-0, at No. 72 South Alabama on Saturday in Mobile, Alabama. It was the team's first visit to Mobile since 2019.
In doubles, Angelique Berrat and Nina Krecklenberg were locked in a close contest on court two at 4-3 but the match was called once the Jags claimed the matches on one and three.
Jenaila Prulla won her opening set while Angelique Berrat took her first set to a tiebreaker. Carla Urchoeguia forced a third set after dropping the opener but all three matches went unfinished as the Jags won on courts two, five, and six. Urchoeguia led in the third set when her's was called, 2-6, 6-2, 2-1. Beret was ahead in her second set when the match was called at 6-7 (4-7), 2-1. Prulla had just started the second set at 6-4, 1-2.
The Cajuns head to Rome, Georgia for the Sun Belt Conference Championships, beginning Wednesday, April 24.
