The Ragin’ Cajuns have won three of their last four matches
LAFAYETTE, Louisiana- The Louisiana women's tennis team started Sun Belt Conference play on the right foot, defeating ULM 5-2 at Cajun Courts on Saturday.
Louisiana saw little resistance in doubles play. Kamea Medora and Nina Krecklenberg got things going with a 6-2 win on court three before Carla Urchoeguia and Angelique Berrat clinched the point with a 6-2 victory on court one.
Paige Duncan took the first point in singles for the Ragin' Cajuns with a 6-2, 6-0 win on court five. Moments later, Krecklenberg won on court six, 6-0, 6-2, to put Louisiana within a point of the match. Berrat saw to that with a 6-0, 6-3 win over on court four. Carla Urchoeguia capped the match with a 6-3, 6-4 win on court one.
The Ragin' Cajuns remain at home next weekend for SBC action. They'll open the week with Georgia Southern on Friday with first serve at 10 a.m. at Cajun Courts.
