Louisiana Continues Winning Ways Against USF

The Ragin’ Cajuns extended their winning streak to six matches
LAFAYETTE, Louisiana - The Louisiana men's tennis team earned another victory on Saturday, knocking off South Florida 5-2 at Cajun Courts. The Ragin' Cajuns are red-hot, winning their last six matches and eight of nine overall.
The Cajuns took the first doubles match of the day on court one with Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez and Sacha Grandvincent winning 6-3. Over on courts two and three, the Cajuns were in a pair of tight matches coming down to the wire. Louisiana clinched the doubles point with Vasil Dimitrov and Leonard Tramolay getting the win on court two.
William Ribero cruised on court three, 6-2, 6-2, to give Louisiana a 2-0 lead. After the Bulls won on court six, Louisiana responded with another win. Oriol Fillat Gimenez continued his hot play of late, winning his fourth straight match by a score of 7-6, 6-2. Sanchez Gonzalez clinched the match on court one with a 7-6, 2-6, 6-2 win. Dimitrov ended the match with his sixth win in a row, coming by a score of 6-1, 4-6, 7-5.
Louisiana heads to Troy for their first road contest in Sun Belt Conference action. First serve is slated for 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 23.
