Louisiana Opens SBC Action Against ULM

The Ragin’ Cajuns have won three of the last four in the series
LAFAYETTE, Louisiana- After a nine-day hiatus, the Louisiana women's tennis team opens up Sun Belt Conference play as they take on ULM on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Cajun Courts.Â

The Cajuns secured their third win of the season with a 4-2 victory over UNO last time out. In singles, Louisiana dominated with wins from Carla Urchoeguia, Kamea Medora, Paige Duncan, and Nina Krecklenberg. In doubles, Paige Duncan and Jenaila Prulla won on court two while Kamea Medora and Nina Krecklenberg won on court three, by identical 6-4 scores.

Urchoeguia and Cristina Tchanichev lead the way in singles with four wins each. Tchanichev has been terrific this season, going 4-0 this spring, all on court two.

ULM is currently 1-5 this season, losing five straight. Last season, Cajuns defeated ULM, 5-2, in Monroe. The Cajuns have won three of the last four in the series with the Warhawks.
