Louisiana Heads North for SBC Road Swing

The Ragin’ Cajuns close a four-match road trip at App State and Marshall
BOONE, North Carolina - The Louisiana women's tennis team enters the final leg of a four-game road trip this weekend. The Ragin' Cajuns hit the road to face App State on Friday before taking on Marshall on Saturday.
Louisiana enters the weekend at 1-4 in Sun Belt Conference play and searching for their third road win of the year. They look to snap a four-match winless streak as a team but have had strong individual play of late. Carla Urchoeguia and Cristina Tchanichev are tied for the team lead with five singles wins. Nina Krecklenberg has won four of her last five while Paige Duncan also has four singles victories.
App State has won seven of eight and is tied for second in the Sun Belt Conference at 4-1. The Mountaineers are led by Savannah Dada-Mascoll's 12-1 record on court one while Maggie Pate is 11-4 on the year. Pate and partner Taya Powell have the team's best doubles record at 8-2.
Marshall is tied with App State for second place in the SBC at 4-1. The Thundering Herd is 7-1 at home and enters the week on a four-match winning streak. Johann Strom and Doroteja Joksovic are tied with a team-high 11 victories while Rieke Gillar, Sophia Hurrion, and Emma Vanderheyden each have 10 wins.
Louisiana is back home at Cajun Courts next week to face Georgia State on Saturday then Troy on Sunday.
