Louisiana has won three straight and five of their last six matches
LAFAYETTE, Louisiana - After winning five of their last six matches, the Louisiana men's tennis team is back home as they host No. 56 Charlotte on Friday at Cajun Courts. The Ragin' Cajuns have won their last three overall.
Few players have been as hot lately as Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez. The senior has won five of his last six in singles. In that same time, he's won four of six in doubles, primarily with partner Sacha Grandvincent on court one.
Grandvincent had a strong week the last time out, winning both of his matches on court three, as well as the two doubles contests for a perfect week. Vasil Dimitrov has also been on a roll of late. He's won three straight in singles, improving his record to 4-1 on court four, while back-to-back doubles wins have him 4-1 on court two.
The 49ers come into the weekend 9-3, including wins over Sun Belt Conference teams Georgia State and Coastal Carolina. They had a five-match winning streak snapped on Sunday by Liberty in a tight 4-3 defeat. Coy Simon leads the way with a 9-2 record this spring while right behind him is Frederic Schlossmann's 8-3 record, playing on five different courts.
First serve is slated for 3 p.m. from Cajun Courts.
