Louisiana Knocks Off UNO in Final Tune-Up Before Conference Play

Paige Duncan clinched the match with her second win of the year
NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana - Despite 11 days off from match play, the Louisiana women's tennis team didn't miss a beat on Tuesday in a 4-2 win at New Orleans.
The Cajuns got off on the right foot with a doubles sweep. Paige Duncan and Jenaila Prulla earned the court two victory, 6-4, while on court three Kamea Medora and Nina Krecklenberg picked up a win with an identical 6-4 score. On court one, the Cajuns held the lead as Carla Urchoeguia and Angelique Berrat were up 5-3 when their match went unfinished.
Urchoeguia earned the second point of the day for Louisiana with a 6-1, 6-3 singles win on court one. The Privateers bounced back and evened the match with victories on three and four. Krecklenberg put Louisiana on the verge of clinching with a 6-1, 6-4 win on court six, making it 3-2. Duncan finished the match on court five with a 6-3, 6-4 win.
Up next for the Cajuns is the start of Sun Belt Conference play. They'll open conference action on Match 9 at home against ULM.
