The Ragin’ Cajuns went 16-2 in their final event of the fall schedule
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana women's tennis team capped off their fall season with a near-perfect showing at the Ragin' Cajun Invitational on Saturday at Cajun Courts. The team combined to go 16-2 and was 5-0 in doubles.
Louisiana went undefeated in the first round of singles, winning all six matches. Angelique Berrat and Ana Martinez Vaquero defeated Tulane, while Angelique Berrat, Jenaila Prulla, Rocio Navarro, Nina Krecklenberg, and Kamea Medora swept Louisiana Christian. All six matches were over in straight sets.
In the second round of singles, Tulane got the better of Louisiana, taking the matches over Berrat and Navarro. The Cajuns swept their second round against Louisiana Christian, including a pair of victories by Karolina Skowronska.
Louisiana mixed and matched doubles lineups to the tune of five wins on the day, including four over Louisiana Christian. In a tight 7-5 battle, Berrat and Prulla won over Tulane to cap off a strong day of play from the Cajuns.
