Louisiana Closes Fall Schedule with Cajuns Classic

The Cajuns end a strong fall at home
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana men's tennis team ends the fall portion of their schedule this weekend in Lafayette in the Cajuns Classic. The Ragin' Cajuns are scheduled to play at City Club over three days.
Last weekend was a good one for Louisiana at the Country Club of Birmingham Collegiate Invite. Vasil Dimitrov claimed the Red Singles Draw championship while Leonard Tramolay bested teammate William Jade in the finals of the Bulldog Draw.
Louisiana has had a strong fall under first-year head coach Thomas Sevel. The team also had a good performance at the ITA Regionals where William Ribero and Leonard Tramolay reached the Round of 16 in doubles. Oriol Fillat Gimenez got to the second round of the singles main draw with an opening round victory as well.
The weekend begins at 9:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday before starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday. Louisiana will be back in action in the spring with their schedule to be announced in the coming weeks.
