The duo claimed two of the three singles draws for the Ragin’ Cajuns

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – The Louisiana men's tennis team had a strong showing in singles over the weekend at the Country Club of Birmingham Collegiate Invite, winning two of the event's three draws and had a player in each of the finals. 
 
In the Red Draw, Vasil Dimitrov cruised to a draw title. The senior only dropped one set in four matches while knocking off two players from Sun Belt Conference competition. In the finals, he dispatched North Alabama's Alberto Altur, 6-4, 6-3.
 
Louisiana had an even stronger performance in the Bulldog Draw. Leonard Tramolay won the draw without dropping a single set. The sophomore had to overcome teammate William Jade, who reached the finals without dropping a set. 
 
The Blue Draw saw William Ribero reach the finals. The junior held off a pair of teammates from host Samford before falling in the final to Juan Accossatto of South Alabama, 6-3, 7-6 (4).
 
Louisiana has one more event this fall season as they host the Cajuns Classic beginning on Friday at City Club in Lafayette.
